Mary Jones Gauldin age 92, formerly of 25 Southland Drive, Martinsville, died Friday March 19, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was born July 25, 1917 in Gary, WV to the late Cicero Horton and Annie Mae Gregory Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her first husband Lawrence Friedel, her 2Nd husband Allen Gauldin, her daughter Nancy Evans Taylor, her sister Louise Jones, her brothers Paul Gregory Jones, and Thomas Horton Jones, and great nephew Keenan Patrick Jones.
She was employed at Dan River Mills for many years, and retired from Martinsville Convalescent Center as a nurses aide.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Clarence Benton Evans, Catherine Ruth McDaniel, Roy Alton Evans, and Robert Allen Evans, six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Monday March 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday night March 21, 2010 in the Roselawn Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
