Obituary

Mary Lillian Turner Anderson age 86 of Martinsville passed away Saturday May 27, 2017 at Blue Ridge Rehab. She was born March 23, 1931 in Henry County to the late Charlie Tyler and Martha Purdy Turner. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her great grandson, Brayden Snow, five brothers, Roy, Ervin, Pete, Leon and J.B. Turner, three sisters, Mayola Wright, Blanche Biggs, and Shirley Hodges, and special friend Gilford Shupe.

She was a Charter Member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church, and retired from DuPont with 35 years of service.

She is survived by two sons and daughter in laws, Michael Lee and Debra Anderson, and Ricky Dean and Sharon Anderson all of Collinsville, four grandchildren, Kim Snow, Amber Moorefield, Courtney Compton, and Lauren Anderson, two special granddaughters, Ruth Ann Hodges and Michelle Brim, and twelve great grandchildren.

Mrs. Anderson's funeral service will be Tuesday May 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Dr. G.H. Vaughan and Gary Shupe officiating. Interment will be private in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday May 29, 2017 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 826 Laurel Park Ave. Martinsville.
