Mary Elizabeth Hedrick Adkins, age 85, of Martinsville passed away on May 29, 2018 at the Sovah Health Ctr., Martinsville.  She was born in Chatham County, VA to late Russell Berkley and Mary Taylor Hedrick on March 1, 1933.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Adkins, her daughter, Susan Adkins and her brothers, Clarence, Jim and Tee Hedrick.

She was a member of Chatham Heights Christian Church and worked at Pannill Knitting for over 25 years of service.

She is survived by her two sons, Steve Adkins (Charlene) of Martinsville and Charles Adkins (Trudy) of Axton, her sisters, Gladys Milam of Ringgold and Gypsy Farthing of Gretna, two grandchildren, Sarah Adkins and Chris Coleman and one step grandchild, April Hammock, three great grandchildren, Bailey Moran, Laney Moran and Brennan Coleman, and two step great grandchildren, Jaden and Rylan Hammock.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 12 noon in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor David Boarman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn.  Online condolences may be made to www.roselawnchapelfuneralhome.com .
