Martha Burnett West, 92, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed December 31, 2022. She was born in Carroll County, on September 25, 1930, to the late Irving Austin and Susannah Dickerson Burnett. She retired from DuPont after more than thirty-plus years of service. Martha was an inspiration to those who knew her. She was a lady of strong faith, and her faith carried her through. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Rudolph West, and her ten siblings; Viola Lee Burnett Cummins, William "Garrett", Iva Mae, Charles "Rush, Edward "David, Winnie 'Lorraine", Mary "Elizabeth" Walter "Franklin, Clayton "Curtis", and Irving "Austin" Jr. Burnett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. January 4, 2023, in Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home, with Director Kelly Ratcliff officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to services.
