Mattie Marie Joyce Shelton, age 84, of Mayodan, NC, passed away on January 6, 2017 at the Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC. She was born in Spencer, on January 28, 1932 to the late Russel and Beadie Tilley Joyce. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Wayne Hendricks, her brother, Allen Joyce and her sisters, Mildred Pace, Eva Joyce and Polly Wynn.

She attended Clearview Baptist Church and had retired from Tultex with over 22 years of service.

She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Henderson of Mayodan, Darlene McKinney of Eden and Melissa Anderson of Stoneville, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mayo Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn on Friday.
