Marianne Krippendorf Frith Tessier, age 83, formerly of 1111 Chatham Heights Rd., Martinsville, died on March 02, 2011 at the Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville. She was born in Hoff, Germany on March 13, 1927 to the late Johann M. and Elisa Rohn Krippendorf. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Tessier.
She was of the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Hoff-Salle High School in Germany. She had worked in several department stores and was a waitress for Dixie Pig for over 18 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Edwards of Atlanta, GA, one brother, Alfrea Krippendorf of Germany, one granddaughter, two great-grandchildren and several other surviving relatives in the area.
There will be a graveside funeral service held on Friday, March 04, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park. Rev. J.D. Harmon will officiate the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the local SPCA, 132 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
