The funeral service for Marian Eller Conner age 79 of 1995 Fall Creek Road Ridgeway, who died at her home on Thursday August 5, 2010, was held Saturday August 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Barry Crumpton officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn burial Park. The family received friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel. Pallbearers were: Willie Haynes, Terry Smith, Mark Smith, Kirk Craig, Freddie Payne, and Herman Spencer.
She was born February 21, 1931 in Martinsville to the late James Marion Franklin Eller and Ruth Jane Hale Eller Payne. She was predeceased by her parents.
She retired from E.I. DuPont in Martinsville with over 35 years of service and was a long time member of Smith Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ernest Conner, Sr. of the home, two sons, Ernest "Ernie" Conner, Jr. .of South Hill and Ronald Conner of Richmond, one sister, Shirley Craig of Bassett, and three grandchildren.
