Obituary

Margaret Virginia Clark Via age 95, formerly of Collinsville, went to be with her Lord on Oct. 25, 2015 at Wright's Nursing Home in Fieldale. She was born April 23, 1920 in Stokes County, NC to the late Frank and Nannie Riggs Clark. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Drewry Joseph Via, Sr., her son, Drewry Joseph "Joey" Via, Jr., four brothers, Charlie, Joe, Lemuel, and Lindsey Clark, and two sisters, Marie Flack and Ila Mason.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville, and had worked at the former Ideal Cleaners in Collinsville. She was very proud of her service in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during WWII, where she rose to the rank of Corporal.

She is survived by her son Dale Via of Ridgeway, daughter Sherry Webb of Ridgeway, one sister, Clara Barnes of Ridgeway, four grandchildren, Kimberly Dudley, Brian Via, Victoria Via, and D.J. Via, III, two great grandchildren, Nathan Via and Journey Via.

Her funeral service will be Wed. Oct. 28, 2015 in the Roselawn Chapel at 12:00 noon with Pastor Mark Ivey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park with full military honors by the Martinsville Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel.
