Margaret B. Davis, 91, of Martinsville, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021, at her residence. Margaret was born August 3, 1929, to the late McKinley and June Abshire Clemmons. She was a retiree from DuPont. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Lane "Shorty" Davis, Sr., one daughter, Margie L. Agee, one granddaughter, Melissa Marsden, and four sisters: Adeline Sisto, Dorothy Butler, Vergie Ferrara, and Catherine Hodges. Surviving are two sons: Irvin L. "Buck" Davis, Jr. (Marie) and David S. Davis (Andi) and four daughters: JoAnne Compton (Connie), Cathy D. Hanna (Roger), Rita D. Bowen, and Sandra M. Davis (Bobby). She also had three surviving sisters: Peggy Branscome, Rose Hodges, and Merle Kittenger. In addition she was survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She spent her lifetime loving and caring for her children and grandchildren. She also loved taking care of her backyard birds, her flowers, and her yard. A small private funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home for the family and close friends. Director Kelly G. Ratcliff will be officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home and Burial Park have been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
