Mae Frances Barnett Petty age 83 of Ridgeway, passed away on Friday May 26, 2017 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount. She was born March 9, 1934 in Botetourt County to the late Selma and Mary Lee Patterson Barnett. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Quincy Lee Petty, two sisters, Marie Barnett and Violet Nichols, and two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Barnett.

Mrs. Petty was of the Baptist faith, and was a babysitter and homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, George Brown and Andy Petty both of Ridgeway, four brothers, Johnny, Henry, Malcolm, and Dennis Barnett all of Roanoke, three sisters, Mae's twin sister, Gaye Sink of Wirtz, Thelma Spradlin of Christiansburg, and Bonnie Caldwell of Roanoke, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great, great, grandchild.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday May 31, 2017 in the Roselawn Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Melvin Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
