Luke David Bell, age 76, of Ridgeway, died on July 27, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. He was born on November 02, 1935 in Henry County to the late Joseph W. and Mamie Belton Bell. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by his wife, Jean Hall Bell, five brothers, Ed Bell, John Bell, Walter Bell, Ben Bell and Dan Bell.
He had retired from the City of Martinsville.
He is survived by two sons, Lonnie Bell of Hudson, NC and Allen Bell of Salisbury, NC, a daughter, Vicky Bell Stone of Ridgeway, a sister, Mary Bell Smith of Eden, NC, three grandsons, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Scheilling will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn and at other times at the home of this daughter, Vicky Stone, 240 Powell Road, Ridgeway.
