Louvenia Moxley Wilson age 89 of Dickerson Drive, Axton died Monday August 30, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County. She was born September 24, 1920 in Henry County to the late Charlie S. and Janey Hundley Moxley. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Henry D. Wilson in 1989, one brother R.T. Moxley, and her three sisters, Lena Haley, Burley Wilson, and Ruby McGuire.
She was a longtime member of Mount Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was retired from Bassett-Walker Knitting, and later she retired from the Henry County School system, after working several years in the cafeteria at Axton Elementary School.
She is survived by her two sons, Neal Wilson of Stuart and Dwight Wilson of Axton, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Friday September 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Gary Robertson officiating, with assistance from Mrs. Wilson's grandson Roger Wilson. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday night September 2, 2010 at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at the home of her son Dwight Wilson, 330 Dickerson Drive, Axton.
