Louise Barnes Jenkins age 94 formerly of Ridgeway, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday Nov. 23, 2016. She was born on Feb. 24, 1922 in Fieldale to the late Thomas Frank and Kate Smith Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Dennis Lewis Jenkins in 2008, three brothers, Elwood, Virgil, and Franklin Barnes, and two sisters, Nancy Coleman and Lela Hollingsworth

She attended Smith Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her four sons, Marvin L.(wife Geraldene) Jenkins, and Roy A. Jenkins of Ridgeway, Jerry L.(wife Aleta) Jenkins of Midlothian, VA, and Don (wife Glenda) Jenkins of Danville, Three sisters, Betty Watkins, and Alma Devoe of Ridgeway, and Patsy Cox of Stoneville, NC, three brothers, Billy Barnes of Ridgeway, Bobby Barnes of Axton, and Homer Dale Barnes of SC, grandchildren, 7, and great grandchildren, 11.

Mrs. Jenkins service will be Saturday Nov. 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Barry Crumpton officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
