Lorene Woolwine Cole age 75 of Martinsville, and formerly of Blacksburg, died Wednesday Jan. 6, 2010 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. She was born April 29, 1934 in Montgomery County to the late John Edward and Blanche Virginia Jones Woolwine. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, Leon, Roger, Alfred, G.W., and C.W. Woolwine.
She retired from Danville Regional Medical Center and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one daughter Teresa Arnold of Fieldale, three brothers, Frank Woolwine of Rocky Mount, VA, John Woolwine of Blacksburg, VA, and Glen Woolwine of Georgia, two sisters, Carolyn Richards of Christiansburg, VA, and Blondine Brooks of Huddleston, VA, one grand daughter, and one great grandson.
The funeral service will be Thursday Jan. 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Blacksburg, VA. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
