Lois Lewis Alderman age 61 of 603 Belmont Street, Collinsville died Tuesday March 2, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was born July 10, 1948 in Martinsville to the late Luther D. and Myrtle E. Turner Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister Carolyn Lewis.
She was of the Baptist faith, and had been disabled for several years. She had attended John D. Bassett High School..
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bruce Alderman of the home, one daughter, Melissa Mills of Martinsville, one sister Edith L. Hall of High Point, NC, and one grandson.
The funeral service will be Saturday March 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Harris and Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturaday at the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home of Mrs. Alderman's daughter Melissa Mills, #A1, 101 Crescent St., Martinsville.
