Lillie Mae Brim Donovant age 83 of the Golden Living Center, and formerly of the Carver Road, Martinsville, died Saturday March 7, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville And Henry County. She was born December 18, 1925 in Henry County to the late William Hardy and Madie Roark Brim. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a great grandson Michael "Ryan" Parsons.
She attended Adventure In Faith Church, was a homemaker, and retired from American Furniture.
She is survived by her husband William Robert Donovant, Sr. of Martinsville, five sons, Allen Ray Donovant of Fieldale, William Robert Donovant, Jr., Ronnie Lee Donovant, Bobby Dean Donovant, and Timothy Douglas Donovant all of Martinsville, seven daughters, Patricia Ann Goad and Yvonne Marie Thornton of Martinsville, Beatrice Elizabeth Jamison, Mary Ruth Kendrick, Barbara Jean Hall, and Sharon Lynn Baker, all of Bassett, Linda Darlene Harris of Stoneville, NC, one sister, Dorothy "Doris" Smith of Martinsville, 39 grandchildren, 46, great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be Tuesday March 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Revs. Albert Robertson, Wayne Handy, and Raymond Moorefield officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday March 9, 2009 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home of her daughter Patricia Goad, 1833 Figsboro Road, Martinsville.
