Lillian Louise "Iney" Hodges age 92 of Martinsville passed away Sunday Feb. 24, 2019 at her home. She was born Jan. 21, 1927 in Martinsville to the late James Clarence, Sr. and Bessie Isley Hodges. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, James Clarence Hodges, Jr. and her sister, Shelby Hodges Compton.

She was a Charter Member of Villa Heights Baptist Church, where she also served as Secretary of the church. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School, Class of 1945, and retired with 40 years service from American Furniture Co. as the switchboard operator, and later worked 10 years at Carlisle School.

Mrs. Hodges is survived by her three nieces, Tori (Billy)Taylor, Kelli Compton Sparks, and Judith Parady all of Martinsville, a very special great niece Brittany Nicole Taylor, two additional great nieces, Reagan(Christian) Curry and Stephanie Parady.

The graveside service will be Friday March 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Keith Spangenberg officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home of her niece Tori Taylor, 3889 Mt. Olivet Road, Martinsville, VA 24112.
