Obituary

Larry Dudley Frith Sr, 93, of 7611 Greenwood Place Circle, Louisville, Kentucky passed peacefully at 10:45 am on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Louisville East Post-Acute Care in Louisville.

Larry was born in Henry County, VA on December 28, 1925 to the late Edgar William Frith and Mary Sudie Mason Frith. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Edith Christine Frith and five brothers, Melvin Norris Frith, Irvin Ford Frith, Glenn Frith, Vernon C. Frith and William (Dot) Doyle Frith.

Left to cherish his memory include his sister, Norene Lester of Martinsville; two daughters, Amy Christine Frith of Fort Myers, FL and Rebecca Jean Frith of Louisville, KY; four sons, Larry D Frith Jr (Renee) of Louisville, KY, Scott Michael Frith (Mary Beth) of Brentwood, TN, Joshua David Frith of Louisville, KY, and James Edgar Frith of Louisville, KY; and his adopted daughter, Ann Marie Edwards of Atlanta, GA. He will also be missed by his 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Joseph, Tiffany, Chelsey, Avery, Corbin, Tristan, Dylan, Gavin and Kaylee; and 4 great grandchildren.

Larry was a proud retired Military Master Sergeant who served 22 years in the U.S Army. He fought along-side with his brothers during WWII and also served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Larry was wounded during WWII and received two Purple Heart Medals, the Good Conduct Metal, the Victory Ribbon, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Ardennes R.C. E and OCCU Medal.

Larry enjoyed spending his mornings at McDonald's with friends. He found companionship through his beloved pets who could always be found at his side. Larry's most favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed talking with his children and sharing stories with his grandchildren whom he loved tremendously.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2018 at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park with military honors provided by the Veterans Honor Guard of Martinsville and Henry County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
