Katie Yale Dillon, age 71 of South Boston and formerly from Henry County died on November 20, 2014. She was born on November 24, 1942 to the late John Elmer and Elsie Wright Yale. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Dillon and a brother Richard Yale.

She was a member of Ash Ave. Baptist Church and had been a manager at Rose Hill Apartments in South Boston before retiring. She was a class of 1962 graduate of Bassett High School.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Dillon of Chesterfield, VA and Oran Dillon of Midlothian, VA, a brother, James Yale of Bassett and two granddaughters, Liana and Liina Dillon.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 12 noon in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn on Saturday.
