Helen Kate Hullett, 94, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Blue Ridge Manor in Martinsville. She was born December 14, 1924 in Lexington, VA to the late Robert Earl Blackwell and the late Beulah Lee (Lilley) Blackwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Quinton (Bill) Hullett. She was also predeceased by her sister Gladys Brown and brothers Kenneth, Elmer and Stephen Blackwell.
She is survived by sisters Phyllis Rankin of Staunton, VA and Doris Lunsford of Brownsburg, VA. Kate is also survived by her four sons and their wives: Jerry (Joan), Doug (Gaynell), Randy (Joyce), and Bruce (Dorothy). She was blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Kate was retired from Central Storage in Ridgeway. She was a long standing member of Fontaine Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Blue Ridge Manor and Mountain Valley Hospice for the thoughtfulness and care that they provided.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 10:30-11:30 AM at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted afterwards in Roselawn Burial Park.
