Kate Rogers Edwards, 94, of Martinville, passed away at her home on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was born in Patrick Co., on May 17, 1929, to the late Roughe and May Smith Rogers. She was a member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church in Collinsville and had been employed with the Henry County Sheriff's Department and DuPont.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ford Edwards, one son, Ronnie Edwards, four brothers; Hub, Tom, James, and Jess Rogers, three sisters; Elsie Burton, Lilly Kipps, and Nell Watkins.
Kate is survived by three nephews and a special long-time friend and caregiver, Joe Fields.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home, interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kate's memory to Smith Memorial United Methodist, 2703 Daniel Creek Road, Collinsville, VA., or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation P.O. Box 96305, Washington, DC., 20290-6305.
