Julia "Julie" Oakley Gravely age 72 passed away on Saturday July 11, 2015 at her home. She was born February 17, 1943 in Martinsville to the late George Dillard and Julia Lester Oakley. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister Sally Burch.

Mrs. Gravely had two years of college and was a medical secretary at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was an active member of Wesley Memorial UMC, and a volunteer at Grace Network, and the Virginia Museum of Natural History.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Brian and Lisa Gravely of Pfafftown, NC, 3 grandchildren, Brian Gravely, Jr., Ethan Scott Gravely, and Acadia Lauren Gravely, 2 step grandchildren, Julie Haupt, and Emily Haupt, 3 brothers, George Oakley, Jr. and Johnny Oakley of Martinsville, and Robert Oakley of Bassett.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday July 15, 2015 in the Roselawn Chapel at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
