John Henry Lawson, 87, of Martinsville, passed away Saturday April 10. 2021, at Chatham Health and Rehab Center.  John as born in Stuart, Virginia on November 13, 1933, to the late Erby A. and Jatha Dixon Lawson; John worked at Martinsville Novelty, American Furniture and before retiring Roselawn Burial Park as a caregiver. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Wray Lawson, one brother Irvin Lawson and a daughter Teresa L. Wyatt.  Surviving; one son, Johnnie Lee Lawson, two daughters, Deborah L. Fulcher, and Valerie L. Brown, one brother, Gene Lawson, six grandchildren and nine Great-grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild.  A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday April 13, 2021, in Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Dr. Brandon DuPont officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to services. Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home and Burial Park entrusted with arrangements.
