Joanne Marie Dowd Lundy, age 76, of 3631 Mt. Olivet Road, Martinsville, died on Friday, March 19, 2010 at her daughters residence at 3625 Mt. Olivet Road, Martinsville. She was born on July 12, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Anna McEnroe Lundy.
Joanne graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. She was a retired sales representative with Home Depot. She was a member of Chatham Heights United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Southern Virginia Artesian Center, Piedmont Arts Assoc. and a volunteer at the Virginia Museum of Natural History.
She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Castello of Martinsville, three sons, John Lundy of Burlington, NJ, Kevin Lundy of Wilton, NY and Timothy Lundy of Eatontown, NJ and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Chatham Heights United Methodist Church directly after the morning service with Rev. Edwin Burch officiating the service.
