Jewel Elaine Griffith, 72, of Mayodan, NC., passed away on March 24, 2024, at Novant Health Wake Forest Medical.  She was born in Galax, Va., on March 13, 1952, to the late Frank Martin and Mary Ethel Anders Griffith. Jewel lived most of her life in Martinsville and was a Martinsville High School graduate. Jewel moved to Mayodan, NC., in 2008, where she could be close to her sister, Alice Barham.

In addition to her parents, Jewel was preceded in death by two sisters; Irene Barker, and her infant sister, Mary Lou, and nine brothers; Sam, Joe, Billy, Herman, Wayne, Harley, Johnny, Carl, and infant brother Dale. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Charles Barham, also several nieces and nephews.

A Celebrate of Life service for Jewel will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in the Chapel of Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home and Inurnment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
