Jean Rorrer Bowling age 71 of Collinsville went Home to be with the Lord on Friday Mar. 2, 2018 at Stanleytown Health and Rehab. She was born Dec. 11, 1946 in Stuart, VA to the late John Abe Rorrer and Amanda Thomas Rorrer Morris of Collinsville. In addition to her father, Jean was also predeceased by her husband Roger Bowling, and her daughter Stephanie Bowling.

Jean was a member of Bible Baptist Church, a graduate of Martinsville High School, Class of 1964, a graduate of Allen's Beauty College, and was the owner/operator for 45 years of several beauty shops, the last being Salon Classics.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by two sons, Johnny Bowling and Matthew Bowling, both of Collinsville, one sister, June Phillips of Owensboro, KY, eight grandchildren, Tyler Bowling, Christian Bowling, Taylor Bowling, Ethan Bowling, Susan Jacobson, Tony Jacobson, Christopher Jacobson, and Michael Alan Wells, all of Collinsville, and four great grandchildren, Logan Johnston, Kayleigh Jacobson, Lillie Jacobson, and Torrie Jacobson.

Jean's funeral service will be Tuesday Mar. 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Raymond Moorefield officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home of Jean's mother Amanda Morris, 706 Ferndale Drive, Collinsville.
