James Harry Lovell, age 75 of 11999 Henry Road, Henry, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County on December 30, 1939 to the late Thomas Green Lovell and Nervie Lee Lackey Lovell. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Holley.

He was of the Baptist faith and had been a truck driver for 24 years with Virginia Mirror. He had served with the National Guard and was a graduate of Franklin County High School.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grace Stone Lovell of the home, a son Jimmy (Kathy) Lovell of Rocky Mount, a sister, Mary (Sammy) Prillaman of Henry, two grandchildren, J.B. Lovell and Nicholas Lovell, a step-granddaughter, Dakota Gashaw, two nieces and two nephews.

His graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Dr. J.D. Harmon and Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating the service. Pallbearers will be his friends in the "R.C. Club". The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.
