James Perry Lankford, 80, of Willis, Virginia passed away in Stuart, Virginia on November 13,
2023. He was born in Richlands, Virginia on December 14, 1942, to Roy & Pauline Lankford. He
was of Christian faith and served as a song director in church for over 40 years throughout his
life. James is survived by his wife of 55 years: Katie Diane "Ann" Lankford of Willis, Virginia;
daughter, Lorrie (Matt) Harrison of Willis, Virginia; daughter Alisa (Charles) Lester of Patrick
Springs, Virginia; daughter, Teresa (Donald) Blackard of Stuart, Virginia; Grandson, Colby
Harrison of Willis, Virginia; and special nieces; Tammy Welch, Sharon Morris, and Paula
VanNorman of Florida, other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Pauline Lankford of Dade City, Florida; his
brother, Curtis Lankford of Zephyrhills, Florida; brother, Raymond Lankford of Lakeland, Florida;
sister, Patricia Lankford of Dade City, Florida; Sister-in-Law, Naomi Lankford of Dade City,
Florida; Sister-in-Law, Linda Lankford of Lakeland, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 17, 2023, at Unity Baptist Church,
452 Nettle Ridge Loop, Stuart, Virginia, with Director Kelly Ratcliff Officiating... The family will receive friends one hour before services.
