James "Jay" Grover Kendrick, age 48, of 2042 Moores Mill Road, Spencer, died on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at his residence. He was born on August 28, 1961 in Martinsville to Calvin Kendrick and Doris Smith Kendrick. He was predeceased by his Father, and a brother, Jessie Kendrick.
He was disabled and a member of Friendly Worship Center.
He is survived in addition to his Mother of Martinsville, by three brothers, Thomas and Timmy Kendrick both of Martinsville and Allen Kendrick of Hickory, NC, and four sisters, Kathy Higgs of Newton, NC, Brenda Hall of Penhook, Sylvia Chaney of Ridgeway and Betty Kendrick of Henry and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 01, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Basham and Pastor Arlene Campbell officiating the service. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 31, 2010 in the chapel of Roselawn from 6-8 p.m.
