James Herbert McHone age 79 of 83 Wagoner Road, Collinsville, died Thursday January 13, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. He was born August 17, 1931 in North Carolina to the late George and Mae Craddock McHone. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by one brother, Bill McHone.
He worked at Fieldcrest Mills in the weave room for over 25 years, and was an active member of Mountain View Baptist Church for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of over 54 years, Nellie Gentry McHone of the home, two daughters, Sabrina Robertson of Martinsville, and Tammy Newman and husband Glenn of Stuart, one brother Joe McHone of Lawsonville, NC, and one grandson Travis Newman.
The funeral service will be Saturday Jan. 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Revs. Charles Harrison, and Stanley Waddell officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service in the Chapel at Roselawn, and at other times at the home on 83 Wagoner Road, Collinsville.
