Obituary

James William "Bo" Haley, Jr. age 56 of Bassett died Monday December 28, 2009 at his home. He was born March 6, 1953 in Martinsville to James William Haley, Sr., and Flora Sweeney Haley of Martinsville. His father predeceased him.
He attended Bassett High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in Germany as a Staff Sergeant. He was employed by Bassett Furniture Industries until becoming disabled. He attended Word of Life Church.
In addition to his Mother Flora S. Haley of Martinsville, he is survived by his wife Michelle Haley of the home, two sons Joshua S. Haley of Martinsville, and Walter Thomas Haley of Germany, one step son, Jeremy C. Monday of Fieldale, one daughter Michelle E. Haley of Germany, two step daughters, Ana S. Karnes of Vinton, and Ivy L. Colazo of Salem, one brother Charles Thomas "Tommy" Haley of Martinsville, and six grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Saturday January 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Minister Terry Blyskal and Pastor Alvin Joe Nunley officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke with graveside military rites by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends on Friday January 1, 2010 in the Chapel of Roselawn from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
