James Jasper Conner, 68, of Martinsville, passed Friday, January 2, 2026.  He was born April 21, 1957, to the late Dale Earskine and Iona Burford Conner.  Jasper spent most of his career in manufactured housing and construction and recently worked security at North Point Trading in Fieldale.  In addition to his parents, Jasper was preceded in death by one son, Roger Alexander Conner, and two brothers:  Ralph Eugene and Roger Dale Conner.

Jasper is survived by two brothers:  Edward Ray and William Lee Conner, two daughters  and sons-in-law:  Laura "Susie" Brown (Troy Brown) and Melissa Flaz (Juan Flaz), two sons and daughters-in-law: Joseph Michael Conner (Heather Conner), James Matthew Conner (Jamie Conner), and seven grandchildren:  Brandie Emerson, Savanna Brown, Jamison Dean Conner, and Joseph, Leo, Joshua, and Evan Flaz, as well as two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations are to be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Jasper's memory.

Services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Director Kelly G. Ratcliff, officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm.
