Jackie Davis "Jack" Inman age 71 of Bassett, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday Sept. 3, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born June 23, 1943 in Westville, NC to the late William Lee and Daisy Pruitt Inman. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by one daughter Wanda Inman Morton, five brothers, Jesse, Richard, Thomas, Harvey, and Junior Inman, and two sisters, Ann Teddler and Geneva White.

Jack worked at Virginia Blower Co. for 21 years as a metal fabricator, and later retired from Vanity Fair after 21 years as a maintenance man. He attended classes at Danville Comm. College for pipe fitting. Jack was an active member of Tradition Christian Church in Collinsville where he served as a Deacon. The family wants to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Carillon Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Dr. Ben Lewis.

Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Holt Inman of the home, two daughters, Vonda Vinyard of Charlotte, NC, and Ronda Handy of Martinsville, five grandchildren, Jackie Horton of Bassett, Jeffery Hylton of Stuart, Tiffany Morton of Ridgeway, Brook Handy and Gage Handy of Martinsville, great grandson, Liam Hoton of Bassett, and three sisters, Louise King of Dodson, NC, Ruby Cole of Westville, NC, and Diane Lineback of Mt. Airy, NC.

The funeral service will be Sunday Sept. 7, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastors Lamar Tillman and Lawrence Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel. Pallbearers will be, Wayne Morton, Jeffery Hylton, Riley Williams, Richard Handy, Gage Handy, and Brandon Horton.
