Irene Bowling Thomason, age 93, of Kings Grant, died on January 01, 2015. She was born in Ferrum on August 01, 1921 to the late James L. and Toka Thomas Bowling. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Thomason in 2013, her brothers, Buel, Chester, Otis and Edward Bowling, her sisters, Donnie Shively, Lovelene Hensley, and Nora Martin.

She had retired from DuPont with over 30 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a sister, Victoria Kirby of Martinsville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at noon in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. J.D. Harmon officiating the service with interment to follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice in her memory.
