Ina Rose Williams Thurman age 75 of Martinsville passed away on Sunday May 14, 2017 at her home. She was born July 6, 1941 in Independence, VA to the late Grover Lee and Emmaline Cora Snow Williams.

Mrs. Thurman was of the Baptist faith, and worked at W.M. Bassett for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Thurman of the home, two sons, Thomas Thurman, Jr. and wife Susie of Martinsville, Robert Thurman and wife Ashley of Danville, one step son, Kenny Thurman of Roanoke, two daughters, Loretta Carter of Martinsville, and Gail Oliver and husband Mike of Leatherwood, two sisters, Katherine Atkins of Fieldale, and Carolyn Marshall of Castlewood, VA, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and close family friend, Mike Durant.

The graveside service for Mrs. Thurman will be Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 12:30 pm in Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Phillip Woods officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 804 South St. Martinsville.
