Ida Parker Moran age 96 went to be with the Lord on Friday Nov. 28, 2014 at her home in Collinsville. She was born June 5, 1918 in Patrick County to the late Alfred and Rosie Setliff Parker.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Eldee W. Moran, her son Jack Moran, her three brothers, Albert, Noah, and Melvin Parker, and her sister, Annie Scott.
Mrs. Moran was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church, and retired from Bassett-Walker Knitting with over 25 years of service. She was also a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, and working with her flowers and plants.
She is survived by two daughters, Elver Elgin of Collinsville, and Shirley Agnew of Bassett, one sister Vera Cahill of Bassett, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Special appreciation goes out to her dedicated caregivers, Jerlene Rucker, and Brenda Wilson.
Her graveside service will be held Monday Dec. 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Lawrence Harris officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
