Hilda Jeanette Dillon Pendleton age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday
Oct. 31, 2015. She was born June 23, 1923 in Patrick County to the late W.M. and Della Belcher Dillon. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Elijah Green Pendleton, her two sons, Elijah Clayton Pendleton and Jerry Lee Pendleton, two brothers, Green and Bobby Dillon, and two sisters, Jewel Hayden and Marie Barbour.
She attended school in Patrick County, and was employed by Pannill Knitting Co. for 35 years as a seamstress. She was of the Baptist faith, but had most recently attended Providence UMC in Patrick Springs.
Jeanette is survived by her two granddaughters, Andria P. Christian of Richmond, and Lisa (Brian) Layne of Yorktown, four brothers, Allen (Emogene) Dillon of Martinsville, Avery (Nancy) Dillon, Percy (Maxine) Dillon, Lonnie (Bonnie) Dillon, all of Stuart, three sisters, Jean (Alvin) Hughes of Martinsville, Elva (John) Fulcher of Jacksonville, FL., Myrtle Hollandsworth of Bassett, five great grandchildren, Terence Pendleton, Ryan Christian, Chelsea Christian, Lora James, and Kelley Hofmeyer.
Her funeral service will be Tuesday Nov.3, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel.
