Helen Mae Barbour age 91 of 406 10th Street, Fieldale died Wednesday December 8, 2010 at her home. She was born August 19, 1919 in Franklin County to the late Ottway Franklin and Emma Lesley Powell Barbour. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, Roy, Sam, Robert, Percy, and George Barbour, and five sisters, Vida Wyatt, Katherine Gordon, Mary Barbour, Nannie Barrett, and Eva Varner.
She was a homemaker who was also the babysitter for her nieces and nephews, and was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church.
She is the last surviving member of her family, and is only survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Saturday December 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel.
