Helen Grant Andrews age 76 of Chesapeake, and formerly of Martinsville, died Friday June 18 2010 at Sentara Bayside Hospital in Virginia Beach. She was born August 22, 1934 in Henry County to the late Ernest and Susie Hyatt Grant. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Johnny Andrews in 2003, two brothers, Raymond and James Grant, and four sisters, Mary Cannaday, Geneva Love, Bea Hatchett, and Kathlene Lawson.
She was of the Baptist faith, and attended Bassett High School. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Mike and David Andrews both of Chesapeake, one sister Doris Smith of Martinsville, one grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Henry County.
The graveside service will be Monday June 21, 2010 at Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Raymond Moorefield officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
