Harvey Leon Martin age 66, of 3745 Stoney Mountain Road, Martinsville died Friday January 28, 2011 at his home. He was born December 26, 1944 in Henry County to the late Robert Herman and Lucille Garrett Martin. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother Thomas Wayne Martin.
He attended Living Waters Outreach Ministries, and was retired from VDOT with 35 years of service. He was a former member of Dyers Store Volunteer Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Faye Bailey Martin of the home, one son Robert Curtis Martin, of Martinsville, and one daughter, Leona Marie Martin of the home, five grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Monday January 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Bud Sedgewick officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday night, January 30, 2011, in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 3745 Stoney Mountain Road, Martinsville, VA..
