Harry Leonard "H.L." Prillaman, Jr., age 76, of Reed Creek Drive, Bassett, died on September 11, 2012 at the Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville. He was born on February 10, 1936 in Henry County to the late Rev. Harry Leonard, Sr. and Velma Young Prillaman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from E.I. DuPont of Martinsville. He was a member of Fort Trial Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School Director, Chairman of Building and Grounds Committee and the Brotherhood Committee.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Juanita M. Prillaman of the home, a son, Kendall Prillaman of Horsepasture, a daughter, Kim P. Flora of Martinsville, a Brother, Doug Prillaman of Bassett, a sister, Joy Lee Nickleston of Roanoke, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
His graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Dr. Joey McNeil officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Friday before the service from 11:00-1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.
