Grady Wright age 86 of 549 Hobson Road, Axton, died Saturday August 25, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born January 16, 1926 in Bassett to the late Sam C. and Beulah Lackey Wright. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister Mae Adams, and four brothers Eulas Lemie, Noel, and Chester Wright.
H was a member of Full Gospel Baptist Church and attended Willis Memorial Baptist Church. H e was retired from American Furniture with over 50 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Murphy Wright of the home, one son Jerry W. Wright of Axton, two daughters, Judy Kellam and Jean Scott both of Axton, two brothers, Arthur Wright and Clayton Wright, both of Axton, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Monday August 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Haywood Alcorn officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on Hobson Road. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
