Gloria Aaron Sizemore went to be with her Lord on December. 4, 2014. She passed quietly in her sleep at her home in Axton, Va.
She was born on September 30, 1925 in Callands, Va. to Matthew and Grace Aaron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Gregory and Virginia Eanes, three brothers, Bill Aaron, Matthew Aaron Jr., and Kenneth Aaron, and one grandson, Matthew Sizemore.
Mrs. Sizemore had worked for the Henry County Public School System, where she retired as cafeteria manager for Leatherwood School.
She is survived by her husband, of 66 years, O.H."Bob" Sizemore, two sons, Mike and his wife Linda of Cascade, Va., Mark and his wife Susie, of Collinsville, Va., one daughter, Margaret Grace Warner and her husband, Raymond, of Norfolk, Va., 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Yeo and her husband Derek, of Annandale, Va., Joshua Gardner of Mechanicsville, Va., Michael Sizemore of Richmond, Va., and four great grandchildren. Survivors also include 3 sisters, Martha Wright, Leone Plybon, and Barbara Kendrick and one brother, Lindy Aaron, and a number of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special caregiver, Sandy DeHart.
Mrs. Sizemore was a member of Kearfott Memorial Baptist Church in Martinsville. A celebration of her life will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home, Monday, December 8th, at 11 am. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gloria's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105.
