Glenn Edwin Lindsey, age 92, of 1509 Rivermont Heights., Martinsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born in McDowell County, WV on April 24, 1922 to the late Harry and Minnie Quesenberry Lindsey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lucas, Richard, Darius and James Lindsey, his sisters, Magdalene Mallory and Sylvia Williams. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Glenn was the oldest member of Freedom Baptist Church. He had worked for American Furniture Co., Perles Coal Co., and at Martinsville Christian Church; as a bus driver and custodian before he retired. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Blanch Hendricks Lindsey, and several Nieces and Nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Luffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the chapel of Roselawn, and at other times at the home on Rivermont Heights.
