George Kenneth Ramsey, 86, of Franklin Co., passed Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Franklin Health and Rehab in Rocky Mount. He was born in West Virginia on December 19, 1936, to the late Stafford and Dorothy Crabtree Ramsey. George served in the United States Army, retired from V. M. Draper, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, three brothers; James A., Franklin D., and Herbert Ramsey, and one sister Phyllis Hylton.

Surviving are three sisters; Verdie Conway, Naomi Ramsey, and Drema Mullins along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2023, in the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Director Kelly Ratcliff officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Martinsville-Henry County Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to services.
