George Russell Pack, 100, of Collinsville, passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022. He was born March 4, 1921, to the late Jonce and Minnie Dalton Pack. George served in the United States Air Force during WWII and held the rank of Private, touring England, Africa and Italy. George was retired from DuPont after 36 years of service. He was a member of Rangley Ruritans for 10 years, loved golf, fishing, hunting and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Elwood, Howard, Richard and Walter Pack, four sisters; Lilia Peterson, Virginia Dimyon, Mary Nesbit and Mildred Martin.

Surviving are the mother of his children; Wanda Baker Pack, three sons; William "Smokey"  and wife ( Ellie) of Australia, Richard of Stanleytown, Russell "Rusty" of Bassett, five grandchildren; Vickie Burnett Hooper and Rodney Burnett (Chelle) both of Australia, Chelly Pack Carter of Lebanon, VA., Savannah S. Pack of Richmond, VA., Samantha Dalton of Fieldale, VA., eight great-grandchildren, three Great-Great Grandchildren and several special nieces.

A graveside service with full military honors provided my the Martinsville-Henry County Veteran's Memorial Honor Guard, will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 9, 2022, at Roselawn Burial Park with S.T. Fulcher officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to services at graveside.
