George Buford "G. B." Edwards, Jr., age 78, of Yanceyville, NC, died on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Brian Center, Yanceyville, NC. He was born in West Virginia on August 02, 1931 to the late George B. Edwards, Sr. and Maggie Moore Edwards. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother, John W. Edwards.
He was a self-employed painter.
He is survived by two sons, George C. Edwards, of Ruffin, NC and James B. Edwards of Reidsville, NC, one daughter, Joyce C. Reaves of Rock Hill, SC, two brothers, Ray Edwards of Martinsville and Robert Edwards of Bassett, one sister Laura Ashby of Martinsville, twelve grandchildren , seven great-grandchilden and one great-great grandchild.
The graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May12, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Wayne Kennon officiating the service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.
