Fern Harris Cochran, 80, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday April 5, 2020.  She was born in Danville, Virginia, on March 14, 1940, to the late Charles Ivan and Ruby Thelma Stevens Harris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; William H. Cochran, Jr., one daughter; Donna C. Pulliam, three brothers; Edward Milton, Lionel Douglas and Jack Harris, and one sister; Gene Agee. Surviving are one son; William H. Cochran III, two daughters; Kerri C. Ambrosi and Jean Marie C. Jarrett, two brothers; Asa Conway and Arlie Ted Harris, two sisters; Lucille Saundra Stephens, and Ramona H. Lawson, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, along with several nephews and nieces. Graveside services will be held Friday in Roselawn Burial Park with Director Kelly Ratcliff officiating. The family was requested that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079 Spruce Street, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
