Faye Byrd Pingry, age 82, formerly of Circle Court, Martinsville, died on September 17, 2014 at the Fork Mt. Nursing Home, Rocky, Mount.. She was born in Franklin County to the late Asa T. and Ethel Adkins McCall on February 26, 1932. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin Byrd, her second husband, Elmer Pingry, II,three brothers, Howard, Hugh and Kenneth McCall and a sister, Jackie Carbone.

She was a homemaker and attended Abundant Life Fellowship Church. She graduated from Glade Hill High School

She is survived by her two sons, Gary Byrd of Bassett and Stevie Byrd of Collinsville, a sister, Irene Finney of Penhook, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside funeral service on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Teddy Britton officiating the service.
