Eva Boyd Quinn age 83 of Axton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Feb. 28, 2016. She was born on September 2, 1932 in Franklin County to the late William and Maude Cannaday Boyd. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Lewis Tyler Quinn, two daughters, Brenda Barker and Eleanor Sue Quinn, six brothers, Roy, Guy, Buren, Glen, Oscar, and Grover Boyd, three sisters, Glennis Smith, Lessie Young, and Sylvia Johnson.
Eva was of the Baptist faith, and retired from DuPont with over 35 years of service. She loved gardening and reading.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Linda and Henry Morrill of Axton, son Michael Gregory Quinn of Axton, one sister and brother in law, Betty and Wayne Crum of Henry, five grandchildren, William Barker of Smartsville, CA, Christy Morrill of Greensboro, NC, Heather Morrill of Axton, Brian Sturgill of Eden, NC, and Michael Quinn of Eden, NC, and two great grandchildren, Coal Barker and Kasey Barker both of Smartsville, CA. The family extends special thanks to the caregivers, Meggan Burchell, Dawn Carter, and Charles W. Mitchell, and Dr. Florencio Garcia and staff of Fresenius Dialysis Center in Blairs, VA
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 03, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn.
